Our holiday homes are located in the area of the typical Spanish coastal town of Villajoyosa. The colorful and friendly town is a pearl of the Costa Blanca and on its three kilometers of sandy beaches you can fully enjoy the deep blue Mediterranean sea. You can enjoy refreshing drinks, tapas, taste fresh fish and Spanish specialties in the charming restaurants and stroll along the stylish ramblas.
From villajoyosa you are 15 minutes away in a fantastic mountain landscape: a favorite destination for cyclists, hikers and mountain climbers from all over Europe. The ideal place to enjoy the silence and panoramic views. You will also find many authentic and welcoming villages with local markets, bars and their own festivities.
The holiday homes are located about 20 minutes from Benidorm and share its famous climate. The legendary seaside town is the perfect backdrop for an entertaining day trip, where shoppers will also get their money's worth. A 30 minutes drive to the other direction lies Alicante, a beautiful Spanish city by the sea with 300,000 inhabitants, a beautiful historic center, a fortress and numerous classy restaurants and shops. You will also find an airport with direct flights to most of Europe's airports. Alicante is connected to Villajoyosa by a train. Upon reservation of your casa, you will receive a script with some nice highlights in the area. Here's a preview:
There are plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars in the area serving tasty tapas and wine (you will probably need a rental car). Furthermore, the modern supermarkets in Finestrat and Villajoyosa offer a very extensive and relatively inexpensive range of fresh fish, meat, vegetables, cheese, wine, ..
The region is a true delight for hikers. A 'Camino de Santiago' starts in Villajoyosa and runs through the mountains, along the reservoir to Relleu and passes at Finca La Perla Verde - highly recommended! From the finca you can also walk through the former reservoir to the 16th century dam, a beautiful biotope. There are also three walks in and around Relleu and there is a very nice walk to Sella. You will find topographic maps in the finca. You are in the middle of a nature reserve! On your own property you can walk for more than half a day, even to the top of the mountain (be aware, at your own risk) from where you have a very wide view to the sea. Sella (12 minutes away - also a nice walk), is a climber's paradise. You spot rock climbers from all over Europe.
The area is known among cyclists, both professionals on altitude training and amateurs. Here you will find the top 10 cols in the area. The Aitana is about 25 kilometers away and is a tough climb!
